Love Island fans were not best pleased just moments into Saturday night's show, having 'forgotten' about a key tweak to the beloved programme.

The ITV2 smash-hit dating series airs every day but Saturday when instead viewers are given an extra behind-the-scenes glimpse into villa life that don't make it into the main episodes.

These episodes, also known as Unseen Bits, are known for dishing out funny moments and shining a spotlight on the contestant's quirky sides.

It also presents a more light-hearted side of the show in contrast with the usual weeknight drama.

This chill vibe is down to the Islanders getting a break from the cameras each Saturday to let the crew clean up the villa and give the islanders some well-deserved rest, reports OK! .

But during tonight’s (June 14) instalment, fans were hoping for a dose of drama filled telly yet found themselves gobsmacked after 'forgetting' all about the Unseen Bits edition.

It didn't take long for viewers to share their reaction on social media. A gutted fan posted on X, formally known as Twitter: "Forgot it was unseen bits today so annoyed #LoveIslandUK #LoveIsland."

Another viewers commented: "Watching best bits but would want the main show more #loveisland."

Meanwhile one fan added: "Using today's unseen bits slot to catch up with love island USA >>> #loveisland."

It comes as dumped Love Island contestant Blu Chegini spilled the beans on his quick getaway from the villa last Friday (June 13) night.

After the latest recoupling drama hit, Blu found himself booted from the villa as his fellow islander decided to throw a lifeline to newbie Shea instead.

Breaking his silence post-show exit, Blu dished out the details: "We asked them for their point of view as we were both really stubborn in that situation. We weren't going to budge, so we had to get them to make the decision."

Blu didn't hold back on his reflections, saying, "Everyone had their own thoughts. But listen, someone's got to go at the end of the day.

"The way it went was better than I thought it would have gone; I had some nice things said about me and that meant a lot to me."

The 26 year old ex-contestant revealed: "I don't think I could have done any more than I did. I wanted to go there and find a spark, and as much as I tried to see if I could get a connection or have that sort of flirty banter, I couldn't really find it."
