Saniyah Hall chooses to play for the USC Trojans.

The Women of Troy, guided by head coach Lindsay Gottlieb, are solidifying their status as a force to be reckoned with thanks to their newest recruit.

Saniyah Hall, a 6-foot-2 combo guard from Lorain, Ohio, holds the top spot in the 2026 recruiting rankings. During the previous season, she was a member of the USA U19 team, where she posted averages of 19.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2.9 steals, and 1.1 blocks per contest.

Although she had visited North Carolina and UCLA, a local competitor, she ultimately chose to play for the Trojans.

Gottlieb has successfully recruited the top-ranked player in the nation in three of the past four years.

  • 2023 – Juju Watkins
  • 2025 – Jazzy Davidson
  • 2026 – Saniyah Hall

Hall revealed her decision on NBA Today, and when questioned about her choice of USC, she explained:

Yeah, it really felt like I belonged there. I adore my teammates; the women on the team are a blast to be with. Especially Lindsay [Gottlieb], I think the coaching staff is incredibly supportive. She's [Lindsay] always there for me, and we've developed a strong connection. She's an amazing coach.

Assuming Juju Watkins remains with the team beyond the upcoming season—a strong possibility given her injury potentially sidelining her for much of it—the USC Trojans' first string in 2026 might consist of Watkins, Kennedy Smith, Jazzy Davidson, and Saniyah Hall.

Elite. Fight On.
