Golisano Behavioral Health and Wellness Center: 5 Years of Transforming Lives

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Golisano Behavioral Health and Wellness Center celebrated its fifth year of providing local outpatient and pediatric behavioral health care on Thursday.

The Center opened in June of 2020 following a $5 million donation from Tom Golisano towards its development in 2017.

Since its opening, the Center has reported over 65,000 outpatient visits annually, serving more than 3,500 active patients at any point in time.

The celebration on Thursday honored the Center’s success in increasing access and addressing the demand for partial hospitalization options and behavioral health care for youth in Monroe County.

Tours of the facility were provided to supporters and media with remarks from Mike Scharf, Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Jill Halterman, Physician-in-Chief at Golisano Children’s Hospital.
